What Are Your Favorite Underrated Christmas Songs?
It’s almost time for Thanksgiving — which I hear America’s retailers are lobbying to rename The Annual Pre-Shopping Snack. Just don’t shed blood over those discounted Black Friday iPhone 6s, OK?
I mean, if you come this way looking for bail, you’ll be as disappointed as those Beyhive stans who bought their queen’s Beyonce Platinum Edition album. I hope those three extra songs were worth every penny.
Let me stop Grinchin’ on y’all. The holidays are upon us, which means one great thing — Christmas music!
Every year at Soul In Stereo, we spent 25 days featuring our favorite holiday songs. You know the classics — Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas,” Boyz II Men’s “Let It Snow,” the Temptation’s “Silent Night.”
But this year, we’re going to do something a bit different. We’re going to feature the 25 most underrated Christmas songs — those songs that bring back wonderful memories, yet few people seem to know them.
This is your chance to give those songs the shine they deserve.
Share your underrated Christmas classics on our Facebook page, hit me up on Twitter @etbowser or leave ’em in the comments below. We’ll feature the songs in an upcoming post.
Stop by every day starting Dec. 1 for a daily dose of yuletide cheer.
Sarah has a list:
Feed the World, Let them know its Christmas Time by BANDAID
River by SARAH MCLACHLAN
Anything by Nat King Cole
Trans Siberian Orchestra (some song about bells)
Traditional Xmas tunes by Bing, Frank Dean Martin.
What an eclectic list.
