Flashback Friday: MF Doom and Keyshia Cole
So what’s really good with this weather? In the span of three days, I’ve had the AC bumping AND the heat blasting.
Global warming, stop playing with my emotions.
Anyway, Friday’s here, so let’s flash back.
MF Doom, Mm…Food (2004)
This is how you do a concept album. MF Doom is no stranger to creativity, and on this one, he blends comic book supervillainy with a billion food metaphors to create one of the best albums in his catalog. Yeah, it’s all kinds of weird, but that’s what makes Doom so incredible. He makes the most absurd situations dope.

Keyshia Cole, Woman to Woman (2012)
We’ve talked a lot about Keyshia Cole in the Soul In Stereo Cypher lately and I’m all for it. Sure, she’s had some career rough spots, but she’s blessed us with a lot of great music over the years. Her 2012 release is probably her most overlooked gem. Many fans had tuned out by 2012 but they’re missing one of Keyshia’s best albums ever. Great singles, strong album cuts and those classic pleading ballads make this one a winner.
