Flashback Friday: Yvette Michele and Field Mob
This Friday, let’s flash back to a couple of acts that enjoyed success in their day but would be even more appreciated in 2019.
Yvette Michele, My Dream (1997)
If I were a betting man in 1997, I would have risked it all on the career of Yvette Michele. Her single “I’m Not Feeling You” was EVER-ER-RY-WHERE and she seemed destined for stardom. But despite three solid singles her debut album didn’t take off and her career never reached its promise. It’s a shame, she had all the tools – and she definitely had the hits.

Field Mob, From tha Roota to tha Toota (2002)
Is it fair to say these guys were ahead of their time? Field Mob’s outrageous personality and hilarious lyrics were MADE for today’s meme culture. Their 2002 sophomore set landed at the height of their popularity, and make no mistake – there was some substance behind those antics.
