This year at Soul In Stereo, we’re spending 25 days featuring 25 of our favorite underrated Christmas songs — those songs that bring back wonderful memories, yet few people seem to know them. Let’s give those songs the shine they deserve.

I’ve got four words for you:

“FIIIIIIIIIIIVE MONTHS FREE REEEEEEEEEENT”

Yeah, I know this song sets black folks back to Jim Crow but it’s undeniably fun. And isn’t that what the holidays are all about? Even my wife, who has little tolerance for Christmas music, loves blasting this at ignorant levels.

It’s the Christmas season, even I can’t complain.
