Flashback Friday: MC Hammer and Inspectah Deck
Happy Friday? What’s on your playlist this fine day? Here’s what we’re listening to.
MC Hammer, Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em (1990)
Stop fronting and admit it – you loved MC Hammer. You know you did. Yes, the man quickly became a punchline but for 15 minutes in 1990, Hammer was the hottest player in the game. But let’s please keep those parachute pants in the 20th century, OK?

Inspectah Deck, Uncontrolled Substance (1999)
Deck is easily the most overlooked member of the renowned Wu-Tang Clan, and he’s also one of the most underrated lyricists in rap history. Chalk that up to his infrequent album releases. Deck tends to be low-key but when he emerges from the shadows, he rarely disappoints. His long-delayed debut album is proof.
