Flashback Friday: Ne-Yo and Dru Hill
In the mood for some R&B? You’ve come to the right place. A couple Soul In Stereo fanatics stop by to drop off their favorites.
C.J. Harris shows one of his favorites some love.
Ne-Yo, Because of You (2007)
C.J. said: “Because of You is my favorite album from Ne-Yo. It is a true display of his vocal talents and not to mention his writing skills. I have too many favorites to name but if I had to name one it would probably be “Sex with my Ex.” He took a page right out of Prince’s book with that song. Out of 12 tracks there are only 2 that I would skip. To me that’s a pretty good album.”

Our girl The Notorious KIM Jackson comes through too.
Dru Hill (1996)
Kim said: “Dru Hill introducted us to some singing brothas from Bmore with voices like silk. With the very extra pint-sized Sisqo, the group’s first album gave us such classics as the baby-maker “Tell Me” and the emotional “5 Steps.” While most men would not admit it, “In My Bed” hit a very tender spot in their hearts when it came to cheating. Plus, a new generation of fans had no idea that Dru Hill remade the classic “Love’s Train” by Con Funk Shun.”
