Love Letters: Playing Love Games
Image via |
Good news, Love Letters fans, I’m reaching the end of my submissions. That means it’s the perfect time to get your burning (hopefully not literally) questions quickly answered by yours truly.
Here’s how you get some of my sage wisdom.
Send your inquiries to edward@soulinstereo.com, or find me on twitter @etbowser. Just provide your initials, or a fun nickname.
Here’s today’s question:
Who plays the game better? Men or women?
AT
AT, no offense to you, playa, I’m know you’re just inquiring about a legitimate topic. But it’s a topic that drives me nuts.
I have so many friends (mostly female) who are constantly trying to test their man’s love by coming up with ridiculous tasks or dropping silly hints. Y’all make love way too complicated. Now, that doesn’t mean you don’t have to work to maintain a good relationship – in fact, creating a happy home takes sacrifice, commitment and a whole lot of compromise.
But love isn’t meant to be a silly chess match, filled with plotting, strategy and one-upsmanship. Real talk – if you spend half your time playing puppetmaster to get a desired result from your mate, look for another one. That’s just wasted energy.
Funny thing about games – there’s always a winner and a loser. A stable relationship should be a win-win.
Games are for kids. Relationships are adults. Stop playing games and I guarantee you’ll get better results.
