The Best Albums of 2011 – You Decide!

If you’ve been a loyal Georgia Mae fan for years now, you know that this is the time of year when I spout off on the year’s best and worst albums.

But this time, I’m putting my feet up and placing you guys in charge.

All week long, we’ll be accepting nominations for Georgia Mae Album of the Year. And we need your help.

It’s simple – simply tell us what you think are the top music releases of 2011. You can submit up to five albums. If you want to nominate the Justin Bieber Christmas album (ugh), that new T-Pain joint (uggggh) and that Rihanna album (*FAINTS*), feel free. I won’t judge. If you just wanna select Adele, go ahead. Any genre is welcome and encouraged. Mixtapes are eligible too.

You can leave your selections in the comments, on our Facebook page, email edward@soulinstereo.com or tweet them to @etbowser.

Next week, the top selections will be posted for you to vote on and the winners will be revealed the final week of December.

Here are my five:

Marsha Ambrosius, Late Nights, Early Mornings (read the review here)
Jay-Z and Kanye West, Watch the Throne (read the review here)
Eminem & Royce da 5’9, Hell, the Sequel (read the review here)
Big K.R.I.T., Return of 4Eva
Kelly Price, Kelly (read the review here)

What are you waiting for? Leave your selections – or we might wind up with a Keith Sweat victory.
