What’s Christmas without the music? This year we’re revisiting the soundtracks of 12 of our favorite Christmas movies.

I’m a bit conflicted about black films in 2019. On one hand, I’m grateful to see powerful stories getting such high-profile coverage in media and getting love at the box office. It’s proof that black audiences don’t need Madea shoehorned into ever film. But on the other hand, all these films about slavery/suffering/segregation/stress and turmoil are wearing me OUT. Our story is more than pain.
