I was gifted this Isley Bros. Christmas album a few years back and it’s pretty unintentionally hilarious in spots. Ol Uncle Ron sounds like he was dipping heavily in the egg nog by the time he gets to “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and starts screaming for Rudolph. And “What Can I Buy You” isn’t even a Christmas song for real – it’s basically Mr. Biggs throwing his checkbook at some poor lady. But Christmas is all about memories and this album is full of ’em for me.
