Flashback Friday: Teyana Taylor and Paul Wall
Hey, we survived another week! Do yourself a favor and revisit these old hits to end your week on a good note.
Teyana Taylor, VII (2014)
G.O.O.D. Music’s series of seven-track albums (allegedly) conclude today with the release of Teyana Taylor’s second album. I expect that release to fly under the radar – most of her fame has come from that video where she grinds on the floor to that Kanye song. But R&B fans know she’s more than a video dancer. Her 2014 debut was a great effort, featuring a handful of singles and album cuts that really deserved more attention. Maybe she’ll finally shine today.

Paul Wall, The People’s Champ (2005)
Yeeeeeah, I was never a big fan of the ’05 Swishahouse movement. But I have to admit, the grillmaster Paul Wall cranked out a decent track or two in his day, most of which can be found on his sophomore effort.
