Guilty Pleasures: New Kids on the Block, I Wanna Be Loved By You

We all have guilty pleasures, those songs that have no business on our iPods or the tracks we only blast with the windows rolled all the way up in our rides. In this column we share our darkest musical secrets.

Aight, y’all can snicker and roll your eyes if you want. But if you were around in the late ’80s you know how HUGE New Kids on the Block were. They were clearly following the blueprint set by New Edition and, well, it worked. So I can’t hate on my man Romello Shuttlesworth for sharing his guilty pleasure with us. “I Wanna Be Loved By You” was a jam in 86 and it’s still a jam in 2017.
