Underrated Christmas Songs 2015, Day 14: Freeway, Black Santa

This year at Soul In Stereo, we’re spending 25 days featuring 25 of our favorite underrated Christmas songs — those songs that bring back wonderful memories, yet few people seem to know them. Let’s give those songs the shine they deserve.

Last year Freeway dropped Black Santa, a Christmas-themed EP. And as you can imagine, the Statik Selektah-produced title track isn’t all that festive but it’s still a welcome gift for rap fans. “My beard long, and my bread long/Verse sickening, that’s what I’m stuntin’ on a Christmas song.” The Philly Freezer never takes a day off, even during the holidays.
