Flashback Friday: Tamia and Redman
This Friday, let’s look at two late-90s albums that have been mostly forgotten in this decade.
Tamia (1998)
I don’t give out 5 stars for albums often. In fact, I’ve only done it once since I’ve been blessing y’all with reviews in 2008. But if I was around 10 years earlier, this album would have gotten all five of those precious snowflakes. Tamia’s debut is masterful, a banger from beginning to end. It really deserved more shine.

Redman, Muddy Waters (1996)
Redman has been hinting at a Muddy Waters sequel for years now. Sequel albums usually give me the bubble guts though, so I’ll stick with the original, easily Reggie’s best album to date.
