Detroit’s Nathan Johnson meshes spoken word with the soulful sounds of his city to create his distinct sound. The result is a raw form of expressionism that’s as conversational as it is melodic.

Those characteristics are the building blocks of his latest release, Soulfulrain Love Session Vol 1.

Drizz’s single “Beautiful Girl,” a moving piece that soothes a woman’s broken heart. He draws her in with his words and sweeps her off her feet with his harmonies.
