Listen Up: Andre Mieux A.M.X., “Bedroom Lovers”

Remember Jamie Foxx’s intro on Kanye West’s 2004 smash, “Slow Jamz?”

Kanye, it’s Foxx, man
I’m just sayin’ I was talkin’ to the girls you know
And we don’t put enough emphasis on the ladies sometime

Jamie might form sentences like a 60-year-old pimp that reeks of Cool Water but there’s wisdom in those lines. Almost 10 years later (good lord I’m old) and Foxx’s observations still hold true – artists have lost the art of seduction.

Andre Mieux A.M.X. is rewriting the book on romance.

Andre’s definitely an old soul – but thankfully not as old as Jamie sounds in that quote. Andre discovered his passion for music at a young age while teaming up with his friend Ricky Lawson. Lawson is a former member of the Grammy-winning jazz collective know as the Yellowjackets.

Andre knows soul, following the footsteps of his mentors Marvin Gaye, Justin Timberlake and R. Kelly. His current single, “Bedroom Lovers,” is definitely cut from Arruh’s seductive cloth.

His new album, All I Really Want, was just released on iTunes. Check out “Bedroom Lovers” below. Andre’s ready to put the romance back in R&B.
