But in the realm of soulful Christmas classics, the first is ALWAYS the best.

The Eagles’ 1978 cover of “Please Come Home For Christmas” gets a lot of love, but not on this blog, playa. It pales in comparison to the original version, recorded by Charles Brown. His voice is tailor-made for such a somber tune.
