Edd’s MANtra: Forever, For Always

It’s hard to believe it has been five years since I shockingly heard on the radio that R&B legend Luther Vandross passed away due to an apparent heart attack.

Like Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, and others, music fans have such a strange connection to our fallen favorites. Although we may have never met them we almost consider them like family. And as we often do with family members, we take them for granted until they’re no longer with us.

Luther’s impact on the industry can’t be denied – nearly every soul artist has a touch of “Lutha” in them. His legacy lives on through all of them, and that’s something we shouldn’t take for granted.
