Progressive Soul Mondays: PJ Morton

This R&B singer’s decision to sing secular music was very controversial because he is the son of Bishop Paul S. Morton, a well-known minister from New Orleans.  PJ’s philosophy is that if God is love, then why can’t he sing about, well, love? PJ was a child prodigy who began playing piano at age 8 and won a Grammy for his songwriting before he graduated from college. He has released 4 albums. Enjoy!
