Georgia Mae Femcee Tournament Finals

We’re finally here.

After 30 matches, countless votes and way too many YouTube links (those things are a pain), we’ve narrowed the field of 32 fierce female emcees to the two – the two you voted as the best the game has to offer.

Let’s see whom you chose.

Up until now, MC Lyte cruised through her competition – but that was before she went up against the Queen. For nearly all of the voting period, Latifah had 100 percent of the votes. But just as I started putting on my dashiki Lyte roared back, finally putting away her foe with just a couple of votes. MC Lyte earned her spot in the finals.

The other side of the brackets were a different story. Lauryn Hill didn’t give Jean Grae a chance to breathe. L Boogie Doo Wopped Jeanie with 100 percent of the vote. Grae is Georgia Mae’s Butler – she came away with much respect after that loss. But it doesn’t change the fact that Lauryn Hill steps into the finals with lots of confidence.
