Trust me when I say this, my man Charles Williams knows good music. And, as usual, I have to agree with his opinions, even when it comes to my usual-nemesis Rihanna. “Lemon” is a ridiculously catchy track, thanks to that incomparable beat. And Ratchet Rapper Rihanna is always the best version of Rihanna. I’m with Charles on this one – this track goes.

I’m not sure that I would call this a guilty pleasure but since Rihanna is rarely on my playlist, I guess it’s kinda close to one. But yesssss….this right here? Not only is this on my playlist but I even made a ringtones out of Rihanna’s part because let’s face it, the beat is Clipse sick and the very few bars Rihanna delivers brings shame on the only 2 prominent female rappers out here in these streets! The 1st time I heard it, I was shocked! And sure, there are female rappers that are under acknowledged yet are extremely talented with word play (such as Angel Haze’s Werkin’ Girls and almost anything by 3D Natee) but for Ri Ri do this well and it’s not even her genre? Well, let’s just say that this song will stay on loop and on my ringtone list for quite a while! Thanks for another on point “guilty pleasure” confession! 🙂
