FlashBLACK Friday: 6lack and Men in Black Soundtrack
Hey, it’s Black Friday, so for one day and one day only, Soul In Stereo’s Flashback Friday goes BLACK.
Well, um, we’re pretty black most Fridays around here. But today it’s officially FlashBLACK Friday. And we’ve got a couple of albums to serve as your shopping soundtrack.
6lack, Free 6lack (2016)
6lack seemingly landed out of nowhere in 2015 and quickly dropped his debut LP the following year, riding the wave of dark, moody hip-hop blended with creeping R&B. While a lot of his album was a little too sullen for me, it definitely had its share of gems.

Men in Black soundtrack (1997)
Man, back in the 90s, even the most random films were supported by outstanding soundtracks. Everyone knows the title track of course, but as an overall project the Men in Black soundtrack was pretty fun. It featured underrated cuts from proven hitmakers like Nas and Snoop Dogg and even showcased promising new artists like some girl named Alicia Keys and these chicks called Destiny’s Child. Wonder what ever happened to those ladies?
