Thankful for #ThanksgivingWithBlackFamilies
Happy Thanksgiving, playas!
Thanksgiving has to be the most disrespected holiday on the calendar. What should be a day of celebration and reflection has turned into a pre-game dinner before we all go Black Friday shopping a couple of hours later.
We need to do better.
For me, Thanksgiving is all about reconnecting with family. That’s why I LOVED last year’s #ThanksgivingWithBlackFamilies hashtag because it proved that so many black families – no matter how near or far – have shared the same unforgettable experiences.
Those experiences are what make the holidays memorable.
Check out some of my favorite #ThanksgivingWithBlackFamilies posts and keep your eye on Twitter for more later today.
And then get off of social media and hang with your family. Gotta make new memories, after all.
