Flashback Friday: The LOX and 702

Happy Friday music fam! Good thing you stopped by, we’re here to get your playlists in order.

The LOX, Money, Power & Respect (1998)

Have you checked out our post ranking Bad Boy Records’ catalog from 1994-2001? If not, step your game up — it’s right here.  On that list is The LOX’s debut album, which was heavily criticized back in 1998 but really isn’t that bad. Take away the silly Shiny Suit Songs and there’s plenty of the gritty lyricism that put the LOX on the map.

702, No Doubt (1996)

I’m a grown man and I’m not ashamed to admit that I LOVE these girls. 702’s debut features some of their most beloved hits.  Pop, hip-hop and a dash of soul — 702 really had a little something for everyone.
