Underrated Christmas Songs 2015, Day 12: Patti LaBelle, What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve

This year at Soul In Stereo, we’re spending 25 days featuring 25 of our favorite underrated Christmas songs — those songs that bring back wonderful memories, yet few people seem to know them. Let’s give those songs the shine they deserve.

I know this isn’t technically a Christmas song — more like a New Year’s Eve booty call — but it tends to be in the holiday rotation so we’ll cover it. Gotta get a head start on those hookups, I guess. Most versions of this song are pretty grating, but Patti’s version is by far the best.

I’d usually make a comment about Patti Pies here but Imma chill. I’m trying to stay off of Santa’s naughty list.
