Flashback Friday: Sex and the City 2 Soundtrack and Twista
I hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July and that it didn’t involve drunken uncles or maimed children.
If you’re looking to keep the party going, you’ve come to the right place.
The wifey is back with a soundtrack for a movie that’s infested my DVR for months.
The Sex and the City 2 Soundtrack (2010)
Jai said: “I’ve been listening to The Great Gatsby Soundtrack for about two months now, which just reminds me of how much I love soundtracks in general. In fact, nearly every time Edd asks me to contribute to this column, I end up talking about a soundtrack. This time is no different. This weekend I’m going to break out the Sex and the City 2 Soundtrack. With hot tracks from R&B greats like Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu and Cee-Lo and mellow music from artists like Dido, this compilation will always be a favorite.”
Also check out:
“Everything to Lose,” Dido
“Language of Love,” Cee-Lo Green
Edward goes back to a high school favorite.
Twista, Adrenaline Rush (1997)
Edd said: “Twista’s new work isn’t bad but nothing compares to his throwback motormouth flow. Double-time raps weren’t uncommon in the late ’90s, but Twista was on another level, rapping like a cassette stuck on fast foward. Even though his lyrics were running a mile a minute, they were still clear and concise. Despite being Twista’s first big mainstream release, this album is often overlooked. Too bad, it was one of the most fun albums in my high school collection and is still in rotation today.”

“Get It Wet”
“Unsolved Mystery”
