Listen Up: CeasRock, “Faceless”
We all have a story, a personal narrative that defines who we are. But thanks to society’s blistering pace, few of us get to share our stories.
Montreal rapper CeasRock aims to be the voice for the voiceless.
Ceas believes that every person, place or thing deserves a story, one that he can illustrate through his lyrics. “It’s all about the context” he said.
“Faceless” provides that context. The single, produced by 514IndoRecordz, is from his Zero Gravity EP.
“In the first verse I speak on my own story as an emcee, and how being relatively unknown is shaping me and the decisions I make,” he said. “The second verse addresses the female population that is faced with a double standard of expectations on the daily. Both verses end with words of encouragement to keep it moving in this rat race we call life.”
