FlashBLACK Friday: Mos Def and Method Man & Redman
Playa, I’ll be extremely honest with y’all.
24 hours after a fine Thanksgiving feast, your boy is stuffed tighter than Rick Rawse in a mid-90s bubble goose.
I know many of you are planning to work off those calories by hitting the stores to take advantage of those Black Friday sales. I’m sure you’ll need some good music for your trip.
In honor of the season, this week, Flashback Friday becomes FlashBLACK Friday.
These old favorites will help you throw ‘bows as you move through the mall mobs. Pick up something for your favorite blogger while you’re there.
Mos Def, Black on Both Sides (1999)
Edd said: “I have to admit, I was late to the party on this one. I got this album as a gift nearly five years after it was released and man, was I missing out on some heat. The Mighty Mos always flows so effortlessly, yet poignantly. It remains one of hip hop’s hidden gems.”

Method Man & Redman, Blackout! (1999)
Edd said: “This collabo album was rumored for years before finally seeing the light of day in late ’99. And no doubt, it was worth the wait. The pair had so much charisma that they even got their own sitcom out of the deal. But the less said about that, the better. Trust me, just stick with this album.”
