Flashback Friday: Ghostface Killah and Donell Jones
Happy Friday! If you’re looking for good music to get you through the day, we’ve got a boatload of bangers for you.
Ghostface Killah, Supreme Clientele (2000)
Clan in da front! The buzz around the ‘net this week is that Ghostface Killah, the most consistently awesome member of the venerable Wu-Tang Clan, will be the executive producer of the group’s next project. If it sounds ANYTHING close to Supreme Clientele, Ghost’s classic sophomore album, we’re in for another hit.

“Buck 50,” featuring Method Man, Redman and Cappadonna
Donell Jones, Where I Wanna Be (1999)
Have you checked out our list of the 12 best sophomore albums in R&B history? On that list I showed Donell Jones’ second album some love, and it’s been in rotation at SoulInStereo Studios ever since. It’s an impossibly smooth mix of classic R&B and hip-hop – an album that definitely deserves more praise. It’s probably the brightest hidden gem of its era.
