Flashback Friday: Puff Daddy and Sheek Louch
Hey playas, it’s Friday. That gives us another excuse to dig in the crates and spin some old records. Here’s what we dug up this week.
Puff Daddy, Press Play (2006)
Diddy’s newest album, MMM, is, um … well, it’s a Diddy album. You really shouldn’t expect much. But every once in awhile he surprises us with some great work. Puff’s 2006 album was a real treat, mixing, R&B, pop and rap expertly. I’ll rock this one over MMM.

Sheek Louch, After Taxes (2005)
The homie Sheek is always the odd man out when talking about the greatness of The LOX. He gets a lot of unwarranted flak – he’s a solid artist in his own right. His sophomore album isn’t necessarily his best, but it’s easily my favorite. You always know what you’re getting with Sheek – rugged rhymes straight off the project stoops. That’s fine by me.

“Movie N****s,” featuring Ghostface Killah
