Flashback Friday: Dr. Dre and Mary J. Blige
A Friday without a flashback is like a Sour Patch Kid without the superfluous sugar all over it. Life just ain’t worth living.
Never fear, my friends and I are happy to take you on your weekly journey through time.

Dr. Dre, 2001
Henry said: “Dre just came outta nowhere and took the production game back with this album. Showed that he could do it without Suge and Death Row. It gave new life to Snoop Dogg and gave Xzibit a platform to shine.”

Mary J. Blige, No More Drama (2002 re-release)
Edd said: ” It might be her biggest song to date but I despise Mary J. Blige’s ‘Family Affair.’ Most are the lyrics are straight-up incomprehensible. What IS a dancery? Despite that horrible, horrible song, I popped in MJB’s No More Drama a few days ago and was surprised at how well it holds up. Solid ballads, fun uptempo tracks (minus The Dancery) and the title track is still a highlight. Skip the hateration and holleration and you’ll find a nice album.”
