Progressive Soul Mondays: Goapele

Born in Oakland to a South African father and an Israeli mother, Goapele has been recording and writing songs since 2001. You probably know (and love) her song “Closer,” but Goapele has many other masterpieces. She has also collaborated with such artists as Mos Def, Hieroglyphics, and Dwele.  Her third album Milk and Honey is slated for release this year. Enjoy!
