Progressive Soul Mondays: Jesse Boykins III

Born in Chicago and reared in Miami, Jesse Boykins III got an early start in music at age 9 when he joined his school choir. In high school, he performed in the Grammy Jazz Ensemble.  In 2008, he independently released an EP Dopamine:My Life on My Back and an LP The Beauty Created; he currently tours with his band named after the latter.
